Football Manager 2006 part 2...

So what to do with all that money?? Now I knew I needed to central defender to try and plug the wholes in my defence, I also needed at least one striker and 1 attacking midfielder. At the close of the season I lost Mido back to Roma and of course Defoe. My first stop was Juventus midfielder Gassbroni(Not even close to his real name, I'll check who he really is later.) What a bargain this fella is turning out to be. I managed to sign him on a free and with only 4 games or so gone he's looking very good indeed. Next through the door was a striker another Italian Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta. At 9mil he's my most expensive acquisition but with a lively start to the season he's looking very good indeed. Already has goals in the back and is looking hungry for more. Next was Jean Alain Boumsong form Newcastle. At 3.5mil I thought this was a good bit of business. Boumsong has been strong on the game for a while now and is shaping up to being a nice purchase.

Next comes my last 2 signing both of which I thought I wouldn't land. First is Josemi form Liverpool a right sided to central defender. I'd had a bid rejected already and was about to give up until another club had an offer accepted. 1.5mil for this player is my bargain of the season. We'll have to see how he turns out in the long run but with stats like his I'll be expecting a lot.
Finally my most exciting signing. He's from the USA first off but don't let that put you off. One of the most exciting players in recent memory one Mr Freddy Adu is now plying his trade at White Hart Lane. 2.5mil or so is again a brilliant price for the 17 year old. Adu is good at the moment and I'm expecting him to be great in the very near future.

Now that we're pretty much up to date my next up date will be a little less wordy. That's the last word on Footie manager for today.
