Why Football Manager 2006 sucks.

I hate the damn game. I hate it. Why do I hate it? Because I can't do it. I'm not one of these people with unlimited patience. I snap easy.
I've just finished my 3rd season as Tottenham and I've seen exactly 0% improvement. No that's a lie, I finished 8th in my last season giving me the honor of competing in the Euro Vase. Which I lost in the final to Valencia and to be honest I wanted to win it.
I've got to have spent some where between 50 and 80 million in my 3 seasons and I'm not improving at all. My latest signing is Dutch midfielder Raphael Van der Vaart. I've got a good squad, I've got some excellent individual players but I can't get any consistency.
I was hopeful again at the start of this season especially after coming so close to my first trophy and only narrowly missing out. Then had a comfortable 2-0 victory in my first premiership game but then came 3 defeats on the trot and now I'm already feeling the strain.

In the last version of this game I took Tottenham into the champions league in my first season. I was in the hunt for the title every year, I went on to win the Uefa cup twice. While playing as Manchester United I went 9 years straight winning the league. I won the champions league.
I can't have turned shit in the few weeks between I finished playing 2005 and started playing 2006. There is only one answer. The bastards have made it harder.
